What is a Torque Monitoring System?

A Torque Monitoring System is a system that is used to measure the torque and turn values when making up connections (Casing, Tubular, & Drill Pipe).  The torque and turn values are important because enough force must be used to connect the pipes completely without damaging the pipe or leaving room for leaks.
